About Cristen Jacobson

Cristen Jacobsen
Founder and Executive Director
Hope for Hearts
After a successful career in advertising and marketing with high profile companies such as Coca Cola and R & R Partners, Jacobsen put her knowledge and perseverance to work in the nonprofit sector. She decided to become involved with Hope for Hearts and the St. Elizabeth’s Girls Academy after learning about young, orphaned girls in East Africa who were lacking basic necessities such as food, clean water and shelter. As a mother of four, Jacobsen couldn’t fathom the thought of these homeless children barely surviving, let alone never experiencing unconditional love and compassion.
Besides overseeing the daily functions of Hope for Hearts, Jacobsen tirelessly educates the public in the importance of supporting global issues and how they impact the United States. She is responsible for donor relations, external and internal communications and all fundraising activities. Jacobsen has a Bachelors of Arts degree from University of Arizona’s prestigious MA Entrepreneurial program. Besides Hope for Hearts, she is active in numerous local and national causes, such as, Junior League and JDRF of Las Vegas. She established a charitable foundation to benefit a variety of children’s charities, such as Las Vegas Children’s Homeless Clinic, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Children’s Hospital Stanford.
